With Oceanloop we are pioneering a sustainable approach to aquaculture by addressing the rising demand for animal protein with our patented, software-controlled and fully automated land-based farming technology. As one of Europe’s pioneers in land-based aquaculture, we launched two clearwater RAS-facilities in Munich, Germany and Kiel, Germany in 2015. We plan to open a new Oceanloop RAS-Farm in Kiel in 2027 and an industrial farm in Gran Canaria, Spain by 2028, targeting a production of several thousands of tons of animal protein and reducing CO₂ emissions by an estimated 75 million tons per farm. With our scalable and modular RAS technology and data management by our Oceanloop Co-Pilot software, we offer a cutting-edge, eco-friendly seafood farming innovation.
Oceanloop Munich GmbH is a world-wide pioneer in land-based farming of Pacific white shrimp using RAS-technology. The farm is in operation since 2015 with the “Bavarian Shrimp” as new benchmark in shrimp quality in Germany and Austria.
